After enrolling for the training:

  • Complete the CSM® course conducted by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST).
  • Receive access to the CSM® exam from Scrum Alliance.
  • Log in to the Scrum Alliance portal to attempt the exam.

The exam consists of multiple-choice questions.

  • It includes 50 multiple-choice questions.
  • You must score 74% or higher to pass.
  • Time allowed: 60 minutes.

The cost of the CSM® course depends on the training provider, city, and delivery format you choose.

If you fail the exam, you can retake it within 30 days without additional fees. Scrum Alliance allows two free attempts to pass the exam with in 90 days after course completion.

The CSM® certification is valid for 2 years. After that, you need to submit 20 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay a renewal fee of 100$ to maintain the certification.
